Those who have completed CV208 with the academy. Those who have had at least 3.5 years of training and can sing 12 tana varnams and one pada varnam and one ata thala varnam in two speeds and 16 kritis.
Student must complete CVEGa exam with a passing grade of Honors or above.

The student is introduced to new types of compositions that are sung in the tail end of the concerts. Tillanas, Javalis etc are useful compositions to understand the kind of music that is sung for dance. The structure of the compositions used in dance is clearly understood in terms of lyrics and their Raga bhava.
Dance Forms and their study gives us a deep understanding of the different Dance forms and their music.The Tillana is a very interesting form which is sung in the tail end of concerts. Javalis are forms belonging to the Dance form but are popular in music concerts also. Javalis present the Raga features in a nutshell and help the student in the understanding of the Raga. Group kritis are another aspect of our music like Pancharatna kritis, Panchalinga kritis, Kshetra kritis , Navavarna kritis and navagraha kritis. Here the student learns one of the navagraha kritis.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student should be able to
-              Sing the ata thala varnams taught so far in two speeds
-              Sing the keerthanams and krithis taught so far
-              Being able to perform manodharma(alapana,niraval and kalpana swara)
-              Sing the Navagraha kriti taught in the course.

Learning complicated Varnams will help in laying a very strong foundation for all advanced learning particularly in the creative aspects of music and also help in getting a firm grip over rhythmical aspects.
