This course consists of kritis by Saint Thyagaraja.Thyagaraja’s compositions are unique and give us infinite possibilities for imaginative music ( manodharma sangeetham ) because of the raga bhava inherent in his compositions.The students will learn 3 Thyagaraja kritis.Bantureethi koluvu in raga Hamsanada,Raghunayaka in raga Hamsadhwani,Needayarada in raga Vasanthabhairavi. The student will understand how to use the raga phrases in his kritis to improve his creativity and make his /her own swara patterns.
