There are no prerequisites for this course. This has been designed for beginners and everything about the basics would be covered. Although, the student compulsorily needs to have an instrument.

The objective of this course is to make piano playing smooth and fun for you. This course uses visual descriptions to explain various musical concepts, which are otherwise tricky to grasp.

After completing the course, the student will be able to;

<li>Understand the basics of a piano- the finger numberings, key names, piano posture, and the basic working mechanism of a piano. </li>
<li>Understand the basics of rhythm &amp; beat.  </li>
<li>Learn and Understand 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures. </li>
<li>Learn and understand Quarter, Half, dotted half, and whole notes. The students will also be able to clap rhythms involving these notes. </li>
<li>Learn the basics of coordinating both hands together. </li>
<li>Learn Rests, their relationship with other notes, and their clapping mechanism. </li>
<li>Learn and understand the basics of grand staff and sight reading.</li>
</ul>

This is a 12-week course where the student gets one weekly lesson for 12 weeks.

This course aims to get piano enthusiasts started on their musical journey. It starts you off from the basics and gets you to play basic songs and rhythms. You also learn about the ins and outs of the piano as a musical instrument, its history, its evolution, the different musical eras, and various composers who have contributed to making the instrument a timeless classic. If you have the instrument and a little willingness to learn it, this course is ideal for you to start with and we are sure you don't want to tire yourself by learning from random YouTube tutorials.
